Experts agree, fruits and vegetables are an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Almost everyday, another piece of research or another news story touts the risk reducing power of fruits and vegetables and their healthy benefits.
For example, very recently, scientists and doctors researched the benefits of Polyphenols, which are the compound in fruits and vegetables that prevent the plant from being damaged by the sun while they grow. The higher altitude the plant, the higher concentration of Polyphenols in the fruit! If you consume a diet rich in polyphenols, which are abundant in fruits and vegetables and plants including blueberries and green tea, you can reduce the damage from the sun on your skin and prevent your skin from ageing and showing dark spots.
